We hired RB Painting for a last-minute job -- after purchasing our condo, we wanted some wallpaper removed, walls painted, some stains from water damage dealt with, and ceilings painted. When we decided we wanted it done, though, it was only 6 days until the moving truck was scheduled to arrive! Robert adjusted his schedule to fit our needs, and the job was done with two days to spare, at a very reasonable price (especially for the wallpapered bathroom, which looked like quite a beast of a job for such a small room!), and with excellent results. My wife and I were both very happy with the work they did, and would definitely recommend them. If we need any more painting done, we'll definitely be giving Robert a call!

RB Painting was excellent in every way . They showed up promptly to give me a bid, arrived early each day to work, worked efficiently and professionally in scraping, sealing and painting our house, and cleaned up thoroughly afterward. Robert was always accessible, consulted with me each day to let me know their progress, checked on all the details, and helped me decide between stain and paint. We hired RB Painting to paint the exterior of our 12 unit condominium. We are so glad we chose RB Painting (who was not the lowest bid). Two men showed up every day around 7am and sometimes did not leave until 7p! They worked the entire day, and sometimes even weekends, until the job was done. RB painting used high quality paint, scraped the entire building, power washed etc. The end result is great. We had our condo painted last year and it still looks like new. I would recommend RB Painting to anyone.

Very Professional. We were extremely satisfied with the job RB Painting did on our house. Robert was very easy to work with and was very knowledgeable about his craft. He explained the different kinds of paint and what he thought would work best for the cement shingles on our house and was very helpful in choosing paint colors. We were also very impressed with the time the crew spent doing prep work (power washing the house, scraping all the old paint from the trim, alerting us to necessary repairs) before starting to paint and how meticulous they were in all aspects of the job. The best part was that they did excellent work without requiring any oversight from us. They were definitely one of the most professional companies we dealt with in renovating our house. "We considered a number of painting companies, and chose RB because (a) we'd seen and been very impressed with another house they painted in our neighborhood and (b) Robert was the only one who recognized that our house had serious moisture problems that would cause paint to peel unless the problems were handled. His estimate included adding wedge vents, which pull the clapboards slightly apart to let moisture escape, as well as prepping and painting. The team came by within a couple weeks and added the wedge vents, and then we waited through the summer to give the house a chance to dry out before adding paint. Robert used a moisture meter to check the entire house before painting, and unfortunately, the moisture meter revealed some serious problems. Robert worked with a carpenter to help us find and fix the problems (rotten wood and a bad carpenter ant infestation), and he shuffled his schedule so that we could replace the worst of the siding and still get the house painted before we ran out of good painting weather for the year. He showed a great business ethic by recommending that we hire someone else (and recommending someone who did an excellent job) for some carpentry work that was out of his typical expertise, even though it was work he would probably have been willing and able to do. Even with all of the extra time and effort it took to sort out all the problems with the house, Robert still stuck with his original fixed price estimate. The final result is a dry, warm, and great looking house. We definitely recommend RB Painting."

"I HIGHLY recommend R.B. Painting Company for exterior and interior painting. They recently painted the exterior of our triple decker and did an incredible job. They were so professional and were meticulous. They even covered some neighbors cars in the area that might get paint on them. Everyone in our neighborhood who watched them paint was equally impressed with them as well. The head guy, Robert, is really nice, talks super fast and has a thick Irish accent. He was easy to work with and seemed even more concerned about getting the job done right than I was (being nearly 9 months pregnant and overwhelmed). There crew was also really nice and responsible. No sleazy guys hanging around the home like some other painting companies I know. They have also done a lot of interior work, although not on our home. I would trust them in my home though if I needed an interior painter. They were a little more expensive than the other companies we talked with, but sooooooo worth it. They were also REALLY good about accommodating me while I was pregnant and nervous about lead paint issues and also dealt with working around our upstairs neighbors, with a 9 month old, who needed to be out of the house while they were painting. "Amazing, wonderful, perfect. I interviewed 8 painting companies before I found RB and boy was I glad I waited. I knew from talking to the owner, Robert, that he completely understood what we wanted and what the house desperately needed. And he knew how to make it happen. Our over 100 year old house had been neglected and poorly painted previous to our purchasing the home. The last painter painted over rotted wood -- siding, sills and trim were literally crumbling. Clapboards were cracked, shingles were falling off the house. It was embarrassing and, more importantly, going to damage our home if we didn't get it fixed correctly. Robert and his professional staff saved our house. The carpentry work was of the best quality, the painting job is perfect. He even used products and techniques that would extend the life of the paint job (stain instead of paint, devices under clapboards to prevent peeling, etc.). We got way more than our money's worth and I am no longer ashamed of my house! I heard some women talking about painting contractors at the park and saying that RB was known for being pricey -- NO WAY! You get what you pay for -- my previous shoddy paint job is the proof. Hire someone who knows how to repair homes, understands paint technology (yes! It's technical and bad paint will cost you more in the long run) and has your best interest in mind.
